The Council believes good corporate governance is a universal goal that all public companies should embrace. As Council member funds invest more of their assets outside the United States, they are increasingly interested in the governance of companies around the world. To help members stay informed, the Council has launched a broad effort to educate members about international corporate governance. This page contains links to news stories covering the hottest global governance developments, and also features Council comment letters on important international governance proposals.
The primary international activities of the Council are driven by the Council’s International Governance Issues Committee. Committee members contribute news items for the Council’s quarterly international corporate governance newsletter. Members also have access to the Council’s directory of members willing to serve as international governance “market contacts.” And our international issues email listserv is an active forum for interested members to share information about global corporate governance and tap international governance experts. Council members may sign up for the international issues listserv by updating their profile (requires members-only access).
If you have a question about international corporate governance or would like to suggest a topic for the International Governance Committee to explore, please contact Rosemary Lally at rosemary@cii.org.
