Given the expected high level of continuing activity relating to financial regulation in the new Congress and the Trump Administration, CII plans to hold bi-monthly teleconferences on this topic. The purpose of these standing 30-minute calls is to: (1) share information with CII members on current financial regulatory developments and related CII advocacy efforts; and (2) coordinate, to the extent possible, CII advocacy efforts on financial regulation with those of CII members and other interested parties.
This call featured Todd L. Cranford, Head of Government Affairs & External Relations, Financial Accounting Foundation. Todd provided some background on the FAF’s concerns about a potential provision in the pending revised Financial CHOICE Act that would impact the funding of the independent Governmental Accounting Standards Board.
The call was moderated by CII General Counsel Jeff Mahoney. CII members may obtain a recording of this call by emailing communications manager Michael Miller.
