Given the expected high level of continuing activity relating to financial regulation in the new Congress and the Trump Administration, CII plans to hold bi-monthly teleconferences on this topic. The purpose of these standing 30-minute calls is to: (1) share information with CII members on current financial regulatory developments and related CII advocacy efforts; and (2) coordinate, to the extent possible, CII advocacy efforts on financial regulation with those of CII members and other interested parties.
Our guest speaker on this teleconference was be Craig S. Phillips, Counselor to the Secretary, U.S. Department of the Treasury. Mr. Phillips provided an overview of the Department’s recently issued report to President Trump entitled "A Financial System That Creates Economic Opportunities—Banks and Credit Unions."
The call was moderated by CII General Counsel Jeff Mahoney. CII members may contact Communications Manager Michael Miller for a recording of this call.
