The Council’s Informal Accounting and Auditing Group, Ad Hoc Committee on International Corporate Governance and Sustainability Subcommittee will hold a joint educational teleconference on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 12:00-1:00 PM (EST). The guest speaker for the teleconference will be Sir David Tweedie, Chairman of the International Accounting Standards Board. Chairman Tweedie’s presentation will include an update on the work of the IASB, including ongoing efforts to converge global accounting standards. Chairman Tweedie will also briefly discuss the work and goals of the International Integrated Reporting Committee on which he serves. Please contact Jeff Mahoney at jeff@cii.org with any questions.
