SEC Advisory Committee Will Discuss Issues Affecting Small Companies

The SEC’s Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies will meet Friday, February 1, from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. to discuss a variety of issues.

The meeting will include SEC Chairman Elisse Walter, Advisory Committee Co-Chairs M. Christine Jacobs and Stephen M. Graham and Acting Director of SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance Lona Nallengara. The agenda includes discussions about the creation of a separate U.S. equity market limited to sophisticated investors for small and emerging companies; disclosure rules for smaller reporting companies; and trading spreads for smaller exchange-listed companies.

Members of the public who wish to provide their views on the matters being considered at the meeting may submit comments using the form on the SEC’s website or by sending an email to rule-comments@sec.gov  Include File Number 265-27 on the subject line.

The event will be Web cast live on the SEC Web site and will be archived for later viewing.
