Council of Institutional Investors

CII holds two conferences a year for all members. The spring meeting is always held in Washington, D.C. The fall conference rotates between the east and west coasts. The semi-annual conferences are typically scheduled for two and one half days.

Our conferences offer unprecedented opportunities to interact, share best practices and learn from representatives from major institutional investors, regulators, legislators and other corporate governance professionals. These events bring together CII members from across the globe.

Our speakers represent the elite of business, investment and policymaking. Past speakers include Hewlett-Packard President and CEO Meg Whitman; Carlyle Group Co-Founder David Rubenstein; JPMorgan Chase Chair and CEO Jamie Dimon; William Ackman, founder of activist hedge fund Pershing Square Capital Management; White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett; and James Doty, chair, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.

In addition to the semi-annual conferences, CII members participate and share ideas in our frequent teleconferences and webinars on topical issues and trends in governance and investment, such as financial reform legislation, high-frequency trading, Supreme Court decisions that affect investors, executive pay trends and corporate political contributions.

CII offers current members in good standing opportunities to sponsor select events at our spring and fall conferences. Sponsorship gives members enhanced visibility and networking opportunities with key business and policy decision-makers.
