On April 3 Spotify went public on the New York Stock Exchange. Rather than a traditional initial public offering, Spotify started trading following a process called a “direct listing.” What is a direct listing? How does it differ from an IPO? What are the pros and cons of a direct listing from the perspective of investors? Three legal experts will explore these and other issues relating to Spotify’s recent listing.
