ExxonMobil’s Case Against Arjuna is Ruled Moot by Texas Judge
A judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas on June 17 dismissed the lawsuit that ExxonMobil filed against Arjuna Capital to keep Arjuna’s shareholder proposal on greenhouse gas emissions off its proxy ballot. Exxon has 30 days to appeal the decision.

Measure Requiring CalPERS, CalSTRS to Divest from Fossil Fuel is Scrapped Again
A bill requiring CalPERS and CalSTRS not to make any new investments in fossil fuel companies and to divest their current investments in these firms by 2031, which had passed the California State Senate, was dropped by its chief sponsor June 19. CalPERS and CalSTRS opposed the bill.
