Ranking Member of the Senate Banking Committee Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and other Republican members of the committee sent a letter to Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Chairman Martin Gruenberg asking him to withdraw the FDIC’s proposed rulemaking, “Guidelines Establishing Standards for Corporate Governance and Risk Management for Covered Institutions with Total Consolidated Assets of $10 Billion or More,” that would bolster the governance standards at an estimated 57 banks.
