The Council of Institutional Investors (CII) fall conference takes place Wednesday, September 30- Friday, October 2, 2026 at the Westin Boston Seaport hotel. Current CII members may view the agenda and register here.
Registration for the conference opens on Monday, June 29, 2026 and closes Thursday, September 24, 2026. There is no on site registration. The conference includes administrative meetings on Wednesday, September 30, with the plenary sessions beginning at approximately 3 PM ET. Attendees should read the agenda carefully for administrative meetings as attendance is based on your CII member type.
All sessions on Friday, October 2 are off the record and closed to press.
All attendees are required to show proof of identification to pick up their name tag and visible name tags must be worn at all times during CII conferences. Attendees should be prepared to show their name tag and or identification at any time during the event. Sharing of name tags is strictly prohibited.
CII's private conferences offer unique opportunities to network, share best practices, and learn from a broad spectrum of executives, stewardship teams, and investment professionals from major U.S. pension funds and other institutional investors, asset managers, companies and consultants from around the word.
Who Can Attend: Individuals from current member organizations may attend. CII's events are not open to the public. Propsective new members and special guests may be eligible to attend. Please email membership@cii.org for further assistance.
Press: Most sessions and member-hosted meetings on Wednesday, September 30, and Thursday, October 1, are open to the press. Sessions on Friday, October 2, are closed to the press and off the record. Please check the individual session descriptions for details. Please contact events@cii.org to register as press before September 2. No on site registrations will be allowed.
Conference Format: Conferences are in-person only. When possible, video recordings of CII plenary and breakout sessions will be made available privately to CII members following the conference.
What are Member-Hosted-Meetings? Apart from CII programming, each CII conference includes a segment during which CII members self-produce breakout sessions. The views expressed in these member-hosted meetings do not necessarily reflect those of CII or its member-approved policies. Conference Fees: Conference attendance fees are based on membership type. Please email events@cii.org for more information. Prospective new members from public pension funds, labor union funds, and other asset owner funds do not pay a fee to attend the conference as a prospective member. All other prospective new members pay a fee to attend and if the organization joins within a specific period of time, that fee may be credited off of their first full year of annual dues.
Refund Policy: Registrants must request cancellation and a refund in writing. Refund requests received by August 29 will be refunded the amount paid minus a $100 processing fee. Refund requests received between September 1-24 will be refunded at 50% minus the $100 processing fee. No refunds will be issued after September 24, 2026.
