Washington, D.C., August 18, 2025 — Members of the media are invited to attend the fall conference of the Council of Institutional Investors (CII), September 8-9 in San Francisco at the Westin St. Francis Hotel. View the full conference agenda here. 
 
CII represents pension funds and other long-term institutional investors and is a leading voice for effective corporate governance, strong shareholder rights and sensible financial regulation. The more than 400 attendees will include investment and corporate governance professionals. Session topics will range from corporate responsibility in the AI era to the politicization of investment decisions. 
 
Most sessions on Monday, September 8, are open to the press. On Tuesday, September 9, several of the member-hosted meetings are off-the-record and closed to press. Members of the press should pay close attention to the agenda for that information. All sessions on Wednesday, September 10, are closed to the press.
 
Press must register in advance prior to September 4 to attend the in-person conference.
